FAQ

How do I get started?

Use of data

Three steps:

  1. After creating an account, you upload your nonprofit's donor data into our platform. If we're integrated with your CRM, you can easily sync the data with a few clicks.
  2. Then we enrich every record with up to 90 pieces of new information using 3rd party public data and our proprietary algorithms.
  3. We then leverage our Altruistic Intelligence™ to recommend the most personalized methods of engagement and fundraising.

Who is Hatch for?

Use of data
  • Nonprofit fundraisers looking to improve fundraising efforts.
  • Nonprofit prospect researchers tasked with identifying and verifying major donor prospects.
  • Nonprofit marketers and P2P campaign managers seeking to leverage data to accelerate results.

Does something similar to Hatch exist yet?

Use of data

The most comparable tool for nonprofits today is 'wealth screening' companies. Nonprofits traditionally rely on wealth screening tools and manual research to identify potential donors. These methods are often time-consuming, inefficient, and yield limited results. Hatch offers a superior solution by automating prospect research and providing a centralized platform that aggregates more data points, simplifies scoring and filtering, and offers prospect research as a service. This empowers nonprofits to identify, engage, and cultivate the right donors more effectively, ultimately leading to increased fundraising success.

What data is needed for my Hatch enrichment?

Use of data

A name, phone number, email address and mailing address is all that's needed for Hatch to work our magic! Yet, the more data fields you provide us, the better the quality and quantity of data insights we can return. If all you have is a name then QuickSearch is good place to start.

Where does the Hatch data come from?

Use of data

Hatch licenses only the most accurate and ethically gathered data from over 30 sources. Not a single piece of data found in your enriched data set has come from illegal web scraping or unethical sources, and we will keep it that way.

How accurate is Hatch's data?

Use of data

Hatch matches your prospects to data from many sources, by using the key identifiers that you provide, such as name, email address, phone number, home address, and spouse name. The more key identifiers you have for a prospect, the more accurately we'll be able to match that prospect to the correct individual in our data sources. Depending on the quality of your data, you may get an overall match rate that is anywhere from 40-80%. On the Hatch profile page, we provide "Accuracy Scores" that tell you how confident we are in the accuracy of each data point.

How often is this data updated?

Use of data

Different categories of data are updated at varying frequencies. News, Tweets, and Youtube videos are updated daily. Social, lifestyle, career, and contact data is updated approximately once a month. Foundation, Individual, and Political Donations, as well as real estate and stock holdings are updated annually.
